Home advantage a major factor

CITY were awesome against Tottenham on Sunday.
We look ridiculous going forward – as a collective strike-force there aren’t many teams who can live with us when the players are in that kind of mood.
Alvaro Negredo and Sergio Aguero are really getting it together now: they are a lethal partnership difficult for any team to try to combat.
It was great to see the goals flowing, and the six will certainly help our goal difference.
Once we had gone two or three in front, there was no way Spurs could come back.
Much has been said about the stark contrast between City’s home and away form so far this season.
We have been exceptionally strong at the Etihad, but I do think home advantage is a major factor at any level. The home support and expectation of the fans can really drive a team on.
As long as City keep going for it in the away fixtures I’m sure more positive results will start to come.
It’s great for the neutral supporter that the title race is looking so open this season so far.
No team has yet really set the divison on fire, and all the main contenders have been dropping points.
At the moment I think there are five, maybe six, teams who will contest the title: City, United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, and maybe Everton, if they can stay injury free.
We have quite a few injuries in the City camp at the moment, so I wouldn’t expect to witness a raft of changes to the team for the Champions League game against Viktoria Plzen at the Etihad tomorrow night.
We might already have qualified for the last 16, but Manuel Pellegrini doesn’t want to lose any game so I think he’ll want to put as strong a side out as possible.
