HOSTS Manchester Thunder start their defence of the Mike Greenwood Trophy on Saturday against Yorkshire Jets.
Improving national side Wales are next in line for Thunder in possibly the most anticipated National Superleague match of the tournament.
The hosts finish the round-robin stage against Team Northumbria in match 12, after which the trophy finals will take place.
In a full day of competition, the National Performance League sides from the three franchises – Manchester Thunder, Yorkshire Jets and Team Northumbria – take part in their own competition along with a specially compiled team, MT Tornadoes.
The MT Tornadoes will be a mix of younger NSL squad members along with members of the NPL squad.
Manchester Thunder Director Debbie Hallas said: “It is fantastic that we are able to host this event for the second year in a row.
“The Mike Greenwood Trophy is an ideal platform for competition at this stage of pre-season.
“It is great to welcome Yorkshire Jets and Team Northumbria once again, and without a doubt the introduction of Wales to the competition should create a lot of interest.”
