Danson double stuns Germany

HOCKEY: NICOLA White’s England team produced a gutsy 3-1 victory against Germany last night at the prestigious World League Final tournament in Tucuman, Argentina.
Oldham star White played the whole game as goals from Alex Danson (two) and Sophie Bray secured a second-placed finish in Pool ‘A’ after two wins. England also beat Korea, but lost to the Netherlands.
England play China tomorrow night in the quarter-finals after the latter finished third in Pool ‘B’.
