WHAT a great draw in the Champions League!
The players delayed the start of training yesterday by a quarter-of-an-hour so they could watch the draw, and when Barcelona came out paired with City everyone was buzzing. There certainly weren’t any dropped heads.
You’ve got to look at it positively, and if you’re going to win such a prestigious tournament like the Champions League, you’re going to have to take on the best at some stage. Why not in the last 16?
Two top teams will be going at it, and personally I can’t wait.
I’ve been to the Nou Camp four or five times in the past. City have played them a few times in friendly tournaments and pre-season games. It’s not the most modern of stadiums, but it’s still awesome.
I can recall walking out into the dugouts and the atmosphere was just fantastic; the sheer height of the stands is unbelievable.
The changing rooms are a dam sight easier to locate than the ones at Real Madrid too. At the Bernabeu it takes ages to get to them because of all the steps and corridors.
It’s not a nightmare draw for City, it’s a dream one as far as I’m concerned.
Two of the best teams in the competition will lock horns, and the way City are playing at the moment, I fancy us to get through.
Yet again the lads have shown how lethal they are as an attacking force over the past week.
That was a brilliant comeback win in Munich, then on Saturday it was simply emphatic against Arsenal.
In every department City look a threat going forward, and it must be great for the fans to watch.
I certainly enjoyed Saturday’s game. In many ways it was like an old-fashioned match with the goals flowing and both sides creating chance after chance.
