Pellegrini salutes happy away day

MANUEL Pellegrini gave credit to his Manchester City team’s character as they kept the pressure on Arsenal with a 3-2 win at Swansea.
The Blues’ Achilles heel earlier in the season had been their away form and they arrived in Wales
having won only three of their nine away league games. But goals from Fernandinho, Toure and Kolarov were enough for a win, keeping City one point behind the Gunners at the top.
A delighted Pellegrini said: “It’s not good for this team to win just 11 points out of 27 in the first half of the season. Winning here, the first game away in the new year, is very important for us.”
