DAVID Silva was just unbelievable at Hull on Saturday.

He scored a wonderful goal to set up City just after the blow of losing Vincent Kompany to a red card, and throughout the remainder of the game he was simply a class apart.

It’s a genuine pleasure for me to able to watch the little maestro week in, week out. His control, vision and style stand out, and he’s just as good on the training pitch during the week. His completed pass rate in phenomenal.

David’s got all the silk and the skills, and if there is any flaw at all in his game, it’s maybe he doesn’t shoot often enough. Sometimes he tends to carry on looking to pass when possibly he could pull the trigger, but other than that he’s just brilliant.

It was a superb effort from the players to go on and get the result after losing the captain so early in the game. It was a fair sending-off, I guess, but Vinny was fouled himself just before he probably turned the wrong way and was then forced to drag back Jelavic. The lad was about to burst clear as he was pulled back, so it was a red card offence. But at least Vinny is missing only one game and will be available for the derby next Tuesday.

He’s another fantastic player who is in prime form at the moment. Vinny is an inspirational leader and he will be missed against Fulham.

City should still have enough to beat Fulham on Saturday, but they’re fighting for their lives and at this stage of the season teams like that are dangerous.

It’s really tight at the top now, with Chelsea losing and Liverpool’s win at United. The title race is going to go the distance and for all the neutral football supporters it’s going to be a really exciting end to the Premier League season.
