SO there’s yet another twist in this incredible race for the Premier League title.
The goings-on at Selhurst Park on Monday were unbelievable. Liverpool were 3-0 up and cruising to another crucial victory, then let it slip in the final nine minutes!
Whether the attitude wasn’t quite right I don’t know. Maybe the Liverpool players just thought they had the game won. Whatever it was, the 3-3 result was a real blow and will make life that tiny bit easier for City ahead of tonight’s game against Villa and West Ham on Sunday.
The result at Palace will have slightly changed the City players’ outlook, I’m sure: a win and a draw should now be enough to win the title.
But we can’t be complacent. The players simply can’t relax and I’m sure they won’t.
Subconciously it’s bound to affect the lads, but outwardly it doesn’t seem to have done.
I saw our players in training yesterday and they just looked as focused and as confident as ever.
It’s going to be an amazing atmosphere inside the Etihad Stadium during these final two home games.
If we get a win tonight, on Sunday the place is going to be absolutely rocking!
It’s brilliant for me to just be a small part of what’s happening at City at the moment.
But tonight is just about getting the job done.
Hopefully there won’t be any more twists and City can win back the title.
