Players could have done better - Vidic

DEPARTING Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic admits “everyone lost belief in the team” during a dismal season. But he insists sacked manager David Moyes wasn’t to blame.
United eventually finished 22 points behind table–topping Manchester City and failed to qualify for Europe.
The last of Vidic’s eight and a half years with the club, ahead of a summer move to Inter Milan, was a disappointing one.
“People ended up saying the players weren’t good enough and we needed to buy better ones,” said the Serbian.
“It was a bad time and the players could have done better. People said we lost faith in David Moyes. We didn’t. We knew he was trying to build something.”
Ryan Giggs was set to meet with Louis van Gaal in Holland today as the Reds move toward finalising their new management team.
