Little to change after United owner’s death
Date published: 29 May 2014
MANCHESTER United have extended their condolences to the family of US businessman and club owneer Malcolm Glazer, who died yesterday aged 85.
Glazer controversially took over United in 2005, the start of an uneasy tenure that left many fans unhappy at the level of debt his takeover had put on the club.
It is understood Glazer’s death will not have any significant effect on the ownership of United, one of the world’s richest clubs. The Glazer family retains 90 per cent of United.
