Scholes checks in to hotel venture

PAUL SCHOLES, who retired last year after a stellar career with Manchester United, has invested in Hotel Football Manchester — the second venue opened by former Reds Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs.
The Latics fan, who lives in Grasscroft, will speak at a business breakfast at Mahdlo in Oldham on June 18.
Paul has joined two other members of the famous Old Trafford Class of ’92 — Nicky Butt and Phil Neville — in backing the venture.
The 133-bedroom hotel, which will feature a rooftop five-a-side pitch, will create 200 jobs when it opens this autumn. It is being built next to Old Trafford and will also house the Old Trafford Supporters’ Club.
Scholes said: “When Gary and Ryan mentioned the idea of Hotel Football and Old Trafford Supporters’ Club I was really keen to get involved — the hotel is our chance to create something special for United fans.”
