Swans opener again for Reds

NEW Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal will host Swansea City on the opening day of the 2014-15 Barclays Premier League season.
The two teams met at the same stage last term when the Reds ran out 4-1 comfortable winners at the Liberty Stadium.
United follow-up with two away games at Sunderland and newly-promoted Burnley with QPR, who went up via the play-offs, next.
Reigning champions Manchester City first hit the road to Alan Pardew’s Newcastle United on August 16 — again a repeat of the first-day meeting in 2013. The Blues had home advantage on that occasion and won 4-0.
City’s first big test comes a week later at home to Liverpool, who finished runners-up to Manuel Pelligrini’s men in a thrilling end to the title race.
The first Manchester derby is on November 1, when City are the hosts, while the reverse fixture is on April 11.
In Sky Bet League One, Keith Hill’s Rochdale welcome Peterborough to Spotland on August 9.
