Fan power can fire up City

MANCHESTER City will have a capacity crowd cheering them on at the Etihad Stadium tonight when they play CSKA Moscow in a must-win Champions League Group ‘E’ encounter.

City have offered fans two tickets for the price of one for the vital clash - and the response has been a sell-out.

Having surrendered a two–goal lead to draw in Moscow, City have only two points from their opening three matches and trail group leader Bayern Munich by seven points.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini recognises his side can’t afford to make more mistakes.

He said: "We must win this game. We consider not a final game but a very, very important game."

City will be without defender Aleksandar Kolarov, midfielder Frank Lampard and playmaker David Silva, all of whom are carrying injuries.

The match is equally important for CSKA, who have just one point from three games.
