Players’ attitude must be spot on

CLEARLY a draw was the better result for Chelsea than Manchester City as the Premier League’s top two went head-to-head at the weekend.
The outcome means Chelsea maintained their five-point lead at the top, but I though City was the better team, one that truly wanted to win the game. While they didn’t create an abundance of chances, at the other end Joe Hart hardly had anything to do. Possession-wise, City were well on top and probably deserved to win.
But they didn’t and now attention switches to a home fixture against a Hull City team in relegation trouble.
On paper City should cruise to victory, but as they have already been stunned by Stoke and Burnley at home, it proves that there can be no room for complacency. The attitude of the players has to be spot on.
It seems odd, this situation with Jose Mourinho ducking his media duties over the past week or so.
I think he had an issue with stories about Diego Costa and then he’s spoken of a campaign against his team, but while I understand his frustrations, my feeling is it’s better to just get on with it.
You can’t change anything. He needs to move on.
