Satisfactory start for hockey girls

HOCKEY: NICOLA White’s England team made a satisfactory start to their Unibet European Championship campaign with a 2-1 comeback victory against Scotland in London.
Kareena Marshall stunned the hosts with a third-minute opener for the Scots, but Kate Richardson-Walsh and Helen Richardson-Walsh replied with the goals that secured a hard-earned win.
Oldham’s White is in the squad which takes on Italy tonight (6.15pm) in their next pool fixture.
