Ford facing England axe

OLDHAM’S George Ford is set to be replaced at fly half by Owen Farrell for England’s World Cup showdown with Wales at Twickenham on Saturday.
Ford and England were not at their best in Friday’s 35-11 defeat of Fiji in their group opener, and coach Stuart Lancaster is reported to have decided on the change.
Sam Burgess and Brad Barritt, meanwhile, look set to be named as England's centres. The Farrell, Burgess, Barritt combination was the midfield trio that ran in training on Monday.
Burgess's promotion to the starting XV would be an astonishing development given he has played only 112 minutes of international rugby.
England are 3/1-on with the bookmakers to win at Twickenham.
