George will bounce back

RUGBY:
MIKE Ford has backed his son George to bounce back from the disappointment of being dropped for England’s World Cup showdown with Wales at Twickenham on Saturday.
The Bath fly half was not at his best in England’s opening 35-11 defeat of Fiji and will be replaced this weekend by rival Owen Farrell.
And Ford snr, the former Oldham RL coach and player, insists George will respond the right way.
“George was down when he was told, after having led the line over the last year,” he said.
“Having a setback like that is all about how you respond to it. You want players to be emotional about it because that shows they care.
“George will respond in the right way. I have absolutely no doubt about that. If you feel hard done by about something, there is no point railing about it.
“He knows it’s all about the team and not him. He trained well with England on Tuesday and can’t wait to get out there again.”
