Silva return to boost City bid
Date published: 01 December 2015
DAVID Silva could make his first start for Manchester City since October 3 as City faces Hull in the last eight of the Capital One Cup tonight.
The Spain international came off the bench in the 3-1 defeat of Southampton, but goalkeeper Joe Hart is expected to still be out injured.
Pablo Zabaleta, Vincent Kompany, Eliaquim Mangala and Samir Nasri are all out of the game, but Sergio Aguero says he is fit
City boss Manuel Pellegrini said: “We will see how Silva and Hart recover. Especially in defending, we cannot make so many changes. We will see in the other positions which is the best team to start.”
City hold sway in recent head-to-heads with the championship outfit, winning five and drawing three of their last nine meetings in all competitions. This is the first time Hull has made it past round four of the League Cup.
