Starlet must be patient

MANCHESTER City striker Wilfried Bony has urged Nigeria starlet Kelechi Iheanacho to remain patient in his bid for regular first-team action at the Etihad Stadium.
The two African forwards were on target during City’s 4-1 win over Hull City in the Capital One Cup quarter-finals in midweek, with Iheanacho coming on for the Ivory Coast international after 71 minutes.
“I see him as my brother so I give him lots of advice on how to handle pressure,” Bony said about the 19 year old ahead of tomorrow’s clash at Stoke.
“We have things in common, so I talk to him a lot. It’s good for me to push him to do it the right way.
“And he is a striker, so it’s always good when he scores. It makes me happy as well.
“He has time – he has another 15 years in front of him.”
City boss Manuel Pellegrini won’t reveal his team line-up until tomorrow, but he has said youngster Iheanacho has deserved his promotion to the first team from the youth side. The 19 year old has scored three goals this season.
