GARY Neville doesn’t see himself managing Manchester United in the future.
Valencia sent shockwaves around the footballing world earlier in the month when they handed the former United and England right–back his first managerial post.
The news saw the odds quickly shorten on Neville succeeding Louis van Gaal at the Old Trafford helm and bookmakers currently make him favourite to be their next manager.
The 40 year old made 602 appearances for United during a one–club playing career, but the former right back doesn’t see himself returning to the club as manager.
“I don’t see myself managing Manchester United at all,” he said. “I know what I want to do in my life, and that’s not something in my mind.
“From my point of view, this is important for me and a valuable experience. I’m aware I need to succeed. Succeeding, for me, would be knowing these players have improved dramatically.
“I think about moving forward in the next five, 10 years maybe.”
