Top flight declares away tickets cap
Date published: 10 March 2016
AWAY fans will pay no more than £30 for a match ticket for the next three seasons under new rules announced by the Premier League.
The new measure will replace the Away Supporters’ Initiative, which since 2013 has seen clubs individually introduce travel subsidies and other concessions.
The £30 cap will run from the start of the 2016-17 season until 2018-19, a period in which Premier League clubs will receive a record £5.14 billion from broadcasting deals.
