Decision day for store signs

A DECISION on whether Royton’s new Cash Converters store can keep its signs, which have been labelled “garish”, is to be made by the planning committee on October 5.
The signs were erected without planning permission and neighbours complained, but to date there have been no objections to the retrospective application.
SHAW and Crompton’s Home Watch meeting takes place at the Commercial Inn, Smallbrook Road, from 7.30pm, on September 29.
IAN Etchells will talk about four local murderers, and the Rochdale man who hanged them, at Crompton Local History Society’s meeting at Crompton Library, from 7.30pm, on September 29.
