BE Proud Love Manchester is hosting a tree party, including acorn-athlon, falconry, tree climbing and storytelling, at Tandle Hill Country Park, Tandle Hill Road, from noon to 4pm, on Sunday, October 9.
ST ANNE’S Church, Royton, is holding a harvest fair from noon to 2.30pm on Sunday, October 9. Any donations of jams, preserves or cakes to sell should be taken to the church.
AUTHOR Freda Millett will be talking about her latest book, “Scattered Homes”, at a meeting of Royton Local History Society, at Downey House, from 7.30pm, on Monday, October 10.
ENJOY rhymetime with a session of stories, singing and crafts for free at Royton Library, from 1.30 to 2.30pm, next Tuesday.
ST PAUL’S Restoration and development committee is selling tickets for its whisky evening, which starts in the parish centre at 7.30pm on Friday, October 21.
TAKE part in arts, crafts, gaming and workshops on board the mobile youth bus at Shaw Youth Centre, in Chapel Street, from 7pm next Tuesday.
MACMILLAN’S World’s Biggest Coffee Morning events take place tomorrow and include a home- bake stall at 35 Pennine View, Royton, from 10am to 3.30pm, and an event at The Salvation Army, Farrow Street, Shaw, from 10am to noon. At both events a donation is required on admission.
TUCK into sausage and mash plus apple pie at a lunch hosted by Shaw Salvation Army, Farrow Street, on Saturday, from 11.30am to 1pm. Admission £is 3.50.
