CROMPTON Primary has been named one of the country’s elite schools.
Ofsted inspectors have judged it “outstanding” following a two-day visit to the Longfield Road school in Shaw. They said: “It offers the highest standard of care, alongside excellence in learning. Under the impressive and visionary leadership of the head teacher, this school has gone from strength to strength.
“Thorough reviews of performance leave no stone unturned and the school sets exceptionally challenging targets for itself.”
Delighted head teacher Martin Moore thanked parents and staff for their work and support, adding: “This is a tremendous achievement and it makes me proud to be associated with such a great school.
“The children are without a doubt our number one asset and it comes as no surprise that the inspectors commented on their excellent behaviour, their good manners and the exemplary way in which they get on with each other.”
