ENJOY a brew and a chat thanks to St Mary’s High Crompton Ladies Society at the British Legion, Shaw, from 9.30am to noon on Saturday. There will be a tombola and a raffle, as well as cake and bric-a-brac stalls.





ENJOY an evening of mediumship with Laura Mould tonight (23) from 7.30pm at Shaw Spiritualist Church, Duke Street, Shaw. Admission is £2 in aid of church funds.



Crompton Library hosts free activities for the under-5s from 9.45am-10.45 on Friday.

BOOK your tables for Shaw United Reformed Church’s table-top sale, that takes place at the Rochdale Road church on Saturday, March 3, from 9.30am to noon. Tables cost £8 in advance from 01706-844899 or 01706- 848555. The sale is in aid of the church building fund.



THE Mothers’ Union at St Anne’s Church, Royton, meets there for its annual meeting from 7.30pm on Wednesday, March 7.



A FAMILY quiz night in aid of Sport Relief takes place at Royton Brass Band Club from 7pm on April 5. A rock band is performing and there will be prizes from Latics and Roughyeds up for grabs. Tickets are available on the door.


GET in song with the Trinity Singers who rehearse at St Andrews Methodist Church, Trent Road, High Crompton, every Monday from 7.45pm to 9.45pm.
