Hospice trek

DR Kershaw’s Hospice is searching for high octane supporters to take on the challenge of a fundraising trek in the Himalayas.
The details will be explained at a presentation evening at the hospice, in Turf Lane, Royton, from 7pm on Tuesday, March 13.
THERE will be bargains galore at a table top sale in Trinity Methodist Church, Royton, from 9.30am-noon on Saturday. Admission is free, with proceeds to church funds.
OLDHAM Soroptimists are meeting at Trinity Methodist Church, Royton from 7.30 pm on Monday. The speaker will be Mark Drury from NHS Oldham who will talk about the on going changes in the NHS. Admission is free.
COAL mining is the subject of a talk by Roger Ivens, who will be speaking at Royton Local History Society in Downey House from 7.30pm on Monday.
ROYTON Townswomen's Guild AGM is on from 7.30pm on Tuesday at Royton Town Hall. Admission is £1 and membership is available on the night.
WATCH the film “Mamma Mia” and help raise funds for Crompton House School's trip to Ecuador. It will be shown at Shaw Playhouse 2 from 8pm on Friday, March 16. Tickets are £4 each from the ticket Office or Interiors at 37 Market St, Shaw.
OLDHAM west and Royton MP Michael Meacher is holding an advice surgery at 11 Church Lane, Oldham, at 4pm on Friday, March 23.

A SPORTS relief quiz is taking place at Royton Band Club from 7pm on April 5. Cr3ativ3 Rok will be playing live and there will also be face painting and games for children and a visit from Chaddy the Owl. Tickets, priced £5 for adults and £3 for concessions, call 07743107171.
