PLANNING permission has been granted for a terrace of five three-storey houses with gardens on land at the former Oak Works in Moor Street, Shaw.





FRIENDS of Dunwood Park are busy planting as part of the park’s centenary. There is an open invitation to join in from 11am-3pm on Saturday, June 16.



ST ANNE’S Church in Royton is hosting a jubilee garden party from noon on July 1. Donations of raffle prizes are required.



A CUSTARD bath, face-painting and live artists will all help raise cash for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice from 1pm on Sunday. It takes place at the Rifle Range pub, Burnley Lane in Chadderton.

BLOOD donors are required for sessions at Royton Trinity Methodist Church from 1.15-3.30pm and 5.15-7.30pm on Friday, July 6.



JOIN in with National Bookstart Week at Royton Library from 10-11am on Thursday, June 14 for an hour packed full of songs, rhymes and activities.
