Busy time for Park friends

FRIENDS of Dunwood Park are inviting the public to join them in a spot of planting in conjunction with the Shaw park’s centenary year.
Join in from 11am-3pm on Saturday. The group will hold a consultation about a sculpture to be built in the park in conjunction with the centenary. Meet Mossley artist Mike Green to provide local input at Crompton Library, from 2-4pm on Thursday, June 21.
TICKETS are now on sale for family pantomime “Once Upon A Time”. The Curtain Call drama group are performing shows at 7.30pm on Friday, July 6 and 2pm & 7.30pm on Saturday, July 7, at St Paul’s Methodist Church, Rochdale Road, Shaw. Tickets, priced £6 adults and £4 concessions, are available from Lynda on 07977-017 226.
A CHARITY comedy — “The man with Two Gaffers” — is taking place at Crompton Playhouse Two from 7.30pm on Monday. All proceeds in aid of the Royal Rover. Tickets from Rose on 0161-652 1049.
THE Royton, Shaw and Crompton District Partnership meeting takes place at Royton Youth Centre in Chapel Street, from 7pm on Monday.
GET involved with reading for National Bookstart Week with Crompton Library. There are lots of songs, rhymes and fun activities for children to explore from 9.45-10.45am tomorrow.
