Vintage display drives fun in right direction
Date published: 26 June 2012
A GLEAMING array of vintage cars revved their way around Crompton and Shaw yesterday.
The procession was the highlight of a fun weekend organised by the parish council.
Other attractions included a charity market, rock climbing, a fun fair and train rides.
Parish council chairman David Dunning said: “We managed to get a good turnout and there were plenty of cars there.
“The charity market went well and there was a lot of people — the cancellation of the Oldham carnival helped us.”
