A TABLE-TOP and craft sale due to take place at Shaw United Reformed Church, Rochdale Road, Shaw, on Saturday has been cancelled due to a lack of interest.
CHRISTMAS may have been and gone but fun-loving charity fund-raisers can still take part in a Santa stroll around Alexandra Park in aid of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice. The event starts at 11am on Sunday.

DR KERSHAW’S Hospice is hosting a “50 Shades of Ladies Only” night on Friday, January 18. Join them at High Crompton Conservative Club for a 7.30pm start and enjoy bucks fizz, a Michael Buble tribute act, a three-course meal and more. Tickets are available from Jay on 07880-712 911.
HEAR all about Sir Thomas Tyldesley — one of the finest knights in England and his involvement in the English civil wars — on Monday. Royton Local History Society is holding the talk at Downey House, Royton, from 7.30pm.
UNDER-FIVES can share rhymes and stories at Crompton Library from 9.45am tomorrow.
