Kershaw’s boost

DR Kershaw’s Hospice got a £240 boost, courtesy of Beaverbrooks the Jewellers.
The Oldham Spindles store chose the Royton hospice for the donation from the Beaverbrooks Charitable Trust.
ENJOY some free time in Royton Youth Centre with pool tables, youth club games and workshops. Suitable for ages 13-19, sessions are just 30p and run on Tuesdays to Fridays from 6-9pm.
BLOOD donors are needed for sessions at Trinity Methodist Church, in Radcliffe Street, Royton. Anyone can visit between 1.15 and 3.30pm or 5.15 and 7.30pm on Friday, January 25.
THE public are invited to attend a meeting of Royton, Shaw and Crompton District Partnership on Tuesday, January 22. The committee meets from 6pm at Royton Youth Centre in Chapel Street.
SHAW & Crompton Parish Council is collecting unwanted gifts that would be suitable for tombola or raffle prizes in aid of its chairman’s chosen charities. Donations can be dropped off at the Parish Council Office in High Street, Shaw, between 9.30am and 3pm Monday to Friday.
VISIT Jubilee Colliery on Milnrow Road, Shaw, to discover its history and the findings from an exciting heritage project on Sunday, January 27. There will also be the chance to win a plane ride over Oldham.
