ROYTON’S St George’s day celebrations are taking place on Sunday from noon until 2pm.
There will be food stalls and entertainment around the precinct, plus the chance to go up to the clock in Royton Town hall, to see how it works.
A St George’s day event is also taking place at Royton Band Club. From 7.30pm on Saturday there will be food, music and raffles. Turn up on the door.
FOR just 30p, enjoy pool, workshops and games at Shaw Youth Centre in Chapel Street. Suitable for 13 to 16-year-olds, a session is running from 6.30-9pm on Monday.
JOIN a team of secret agents in a bid to crack a murder mystery against the clock. The literature event takes place at 2pm on Saturday at Crompton Library.
CITIZENS advice sessions take place at Royton Library on Wednesday. From 2pm, get help with legal, financial or other problems.
TRINITY Methodist Church is holding a bric-a-brac sale from 9am-noon on Thursday next week. Admission is free and all proceeds to church funds.
NIFTY knitters with some spare wool can donate to the knit and knatter group at St Anne’s Church in Royton. They are using the wool to make blankets for the premature baby unit at the Royal Oldham Hospital.
