Ladies night

A LADIES night featuring topless waiters is taking place to benefit the Jamie’s Something Special charity.Jamie Heaton was killed in the Shaw gas explosion last year.
The event takes place at Heyside’s Moss Inn, from 7.30pm on Saturday. Tickets are £10.
A COMMUNITY pop choir session is being held at Royton Youth Centre from 7 to 9pm on Monday, July 15.For more information contact Martin at Oldham Music Service on 0161-770 5660.
FOR a cake and a cuppa head down to Shaw’s British Legion in Newton Street between 9 and 11am on Saturday. There will also be stalls and a raffle in aid of the Shaw, Crompton and Royton branch of the RNLI.
SHAW & Disabled Association is holding a duck race on the River Beal. Tickets to enter are £1 and there will also be stalls at the Millyard Centre, Harper Square, Shaw, from 2pm on Saturday.
LABURNUM House in Shaw is holding an open day on Saturday. There will be a barbecue, stalls and a bouncy castle.
CITIZENS Advice sessions are taking place on Thursday, July 18. at Crompton Library between 9.30am and 12.30pm. People who need help to resolve money or legal issues can attend.
NEED some inspiration for a new job? Then visit Royton Work Club at the Royton Youth Centre from noon to 2pm on Thursday, July 18. The event is targeted at 16-24 year olds.
A CHAT and Choose event is running for book lovers at Royton Library
Between 9.30 and 11.30am on Wednesday, July 17, you can chat with others about books, life or hear talks on interesting subjects.
