Academy sports camp

THERE’S no excuse for being bored during the summer holidays. A sports camp for eight to 16-year-olds takes place at Oldham Academy North, Broadway, Royton, until Saturday, August 31.
Sessions cost £3 a day or £12 for a week.
HAVE a good laugh at a fund-raising comedy evening at Royton Cricket Club, Bransdale Avenue, tonight. Tickets, priced £10, are available from Guy Sedgwick on 07875-306 238. Doors open at 8pm.
RICHARD Chapman will be talking about his life with his guide dog Chester at the next meeting of Royton Townswomen’s Guild. It takes place at Royton Town Hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday, August 13. for information call 0161-633 6126.
THE new season means a new venue for the Wednesday night netball sessions for seven to 14-year-olds. The are moving from Royton and Crompton School to Oldham Academy North on Wednesday, September 11.
A BLUE Trek 7300 bike has been stolen from Rosebay Close, Royton. Anyone with information should contact the police on 101.
ST Joseph’s Parish Centre, Shaw, is holding children’s street dance sessions tomorrow and next Friday, August 9. Three to seven-year-olds can take part from 6 to 6.45pm and seven to 12-year-olds from 6.4 to 7.30pm. For information call 07739-317 616.
