A BODY Shop party in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care is being held at The Railway Hotel in Royton, tonight at 7.30pm. there will also be demonstrations, craft stalls and refreshments.

STORY and rhyme sessions for the under fours are taking place at Crompton Library. Enjoy fun activities to develop children’s language and communication skills tomorrow at 9.45am.


A COFFEE morning is taking place at the Salvation Army in Shaw. It runs from 10.30am to noon on Saturday, August 31, and supports local church funds.


OUTREACH Players is presenting “Mystical Garden”, a musical drama at Heyside Parish Hall, Heyside St Mark’s. The show is onFriday and Saturday, August 30 and 31. Proceeds to the costume fund. Tickets are £3 for adults.


THIEVES took a safe when they broke into the Blue Belle pub in Rochdale Road, Royton, at 9.40pm on Sunday. They climbed into the house attached to the pub and broke metal security bars from the window. Anyone with information should contact police on 101.


GET help with your homework and have free access to computers at Royton Library. Homework Power Hour is held on Wednesdays, from 3.30 until 4.30pm.


FOR free bowls tuition, children can head down to Dunwood Park in Shaw. Sessions run from 9.15am to noon every week day until Friday, August 30. Flat shoes are needed.
