A COFFEE morning will be held on Saturday, 9-11am at the Royal British Legion, Newtown Street, Shaw.
The event is in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support with numerous stalls, a tombola and a raffle. All are welcome.
RESIDENTS should be aware of temporary stop and go boards on Shaw Road, due to carriageway resurfacing. Higginshaw Road to Bullcote Green, Heyside, will be affected until Saturday.
The 3Cs group is looking for people interested in renting affordable studio space, running workshops or exhibiting and selling their work to get in touch. The group has been given permission by Shaw Parish Council to use its old offices as a new arts and crafts centre. Email Maria at m.d.craftyarts@gmail.com
A sponsored walk will be held on Sunday, Octover 20, in memory of Ben Fitchett, who died after falling from a bridge. The walk will begin at the North Star Inn at 8am. Visit www.justgiving.com/Shaw-hopewalk to donate to the cause.
