SHAW and Crompton Community Forum will be held on Wednesday, November 6, at 6pm at Crompton Library, Farrow Street East. All are welcome.
THE PTFA at Crompton House are having a wine-tasting evening on Thursday, November 7, between 7.30 and 10.30pm hosted by Majestic Wines. Tickets are £5 and are available from the school finance office.
CROMPTON Local History Society are holding a Skeletons in the Cupboard evening on Thursday at Crompton Library. The evening will explore family history with special guest speaker Bill Taylor. Admission is £1 and refreshments are included.
SHAW and Crompton Parish Council are inviting primary schools across Oldham to enter its annual Schools’ Music, Orchestra and Choir Festival at Crompton House School, Rochdale Road, Shaw, on Friday, December 6. Numbers attending have to be restricted, and entries will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with previous entrants given priority. A QUIZ between Shaw and Saddleworth will take place at the St James Parish rooms, East Crompton, tomorrow at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced at £5 which includes a potato-pie supper. To book, contact Mari Wiswell on 0791-234 3932. All money raised will go to the parish council chairman’s charities.
WARDLE Anderson Brass Band, featuring soprano Elizabeth Phillips, will appear at the Playhouse2 Theatre, Shaw on Saturday, November 9, at 7.30pm. The Night of the Proms is in aid of the Shaw Parish Council chairman’s charities. Tickets available from Interiors on Market Street, Shaw.
