FRIENDS of Crompton Moor are looking for volunteers to help maintain the moor and the surrounding area. To get involved call 07792-156 295 or email cromptonmoor@gmail.com.


PARENTS with children at St James and Beal Vale schools should be aware that due to ongoing roadworks on Salts Street, parking is severely restricted. There is no parking from James Road and Vicarage Street down to Milnrow Road. Alternative free parking is available on Glebe Street.


OLDHAM Council is consulting with residents over the best way to save £60million from the authority’s budget. Forms are available for residents to give their views at www.oldham.gov.uk.


BEDTIME stories take place at Crompton Library on Monday between 6 and 6.45pm. Children should wear pyjamas and bring their favourite cuddly toy.


A FUND-RAISER will take place at Crompton Cricket Club on Saturday, September 20, from 2pm to raise money for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital with arts and crafts, hot food and DJ.


ST JOSEPH’S nursary jumpers are now available again from Topform, Drake Street, Oldham.
