PLANS for improvements to Crompton war memorial are on display in Shaw Library, Kershaw Street, for residents to give their views.
A DRYSTONE walling event teaching the age- old skill takes place on Crompton Moor on Sunday, between 10.30am and 2.30pm.
AN open evening for Crompton House will be held tonight from 5.40pm to give parents the chance to find out more about the school.
A MUSICAL evening will be held at the Salvation Army, Farrow Street, on Saturday, from 7.30pm.
Shaw and Crompton ward surgeries are held at the Lifelong Learning Centre every Thursday, between 7.30 and 8.30pm.
A LIGHT lunch will be held at the Salvation Army, Farrow Street, between 11.30am and 1pm next Thursday.
A PERFORMANCE of “The Hound of the Baskervilles” is on at Playhouse 2 from Saturday September 26 from 7.30pm. Call 01706 840400 for more information.
CROWN green bowling sessions are held every Monday to Friday between 9am and noon at Dunwood Park.
SHAW Parish Church hosts a toddler group in the church hall, Church Street, each Monday and Wednesday (9.30-11.30am) for under-fives. There is no need to book — just turn up on the day.
