FRIENDS of Jubilee Colliery need volunteers. Go to the colliery, on Shaw Road, between 10am and 2pm every Monday.
AN arts and crafts fair will be held at the Duke of York pub, Heyside, on October 3 between 11am and 3pm.
BINGO and refreshments for the over-50s take place at Shaw Parish Council offices, Kershaw Street, every Wednesday between 10am and noon.
A MACMILLAN coffee morning will be held at the Royal British Legion, Newton Street, on Saturday between 9am and 11am.
VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help with Remembrance Sunday. If you can help, contact Liz Fryman on 0161-770 5161.
A MAHDLO “Senior Zone” takes place at the United Reform Church, Rochdale Road, every Monday between 6.15 and 9.15pm.
A FUNDRAISER for the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death charity takes place at Tara Leisure on Sunday, October 11, between 2 and 6pm. There will be stalls, a bouncy castle and a BBQ. Admission is £5 for adults, £1 for children and free for under 10’s.
A MACMILLAN Coffee morning will be held at Catch The Vibe, Milnrow Road, on Friday between 10am and 2.30pm.
SELF-DEFENCE classes are being held at Fit Bodz Gym, Primrose Bank, on Saturday between noon and 2pm and on Sunday between 11am and 2pm. Call 07762-801 766.
