Hospice thanks

ROB Cottrill, from Dew Construction Ltd in Oldham, has been thanked for his efforts in raising £1,215 for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice over the last year.
CHIEF constable Peter Fahy, of Greater Manchester Police, visited Royton’s neighbourhood policing unit to praise staff for their excellent work, which included a three-week stint of drugs warrants in the area.
DR KERSHAW’S Hospice is holding a garden party including a range of stalls tomorrow from noon-4pm at Turf Lane, Royton. Admission is £1.
STALL helpers and homebaked goods are required for a strawberry fair and garden party at St Anne’s Church in Royton on Sunday, June 26. If you can help, contact Marian at the church.
PLACES are now available for children aged 8-10 to join 8th Shaw Cubs who meet at St Paul’s Church on Rochdale Road, every Monday from 7-8.30pm.
AN E-Watch scheme launched in Royton and Shaw one month ago now boasts more than 300 members, but officers are looking for more people to join, as it has been a successful communication tool for helping police catch offenders.
MOVERS and shakers will be learning some African dance routines in a free session at Royton Children’s Centre in Blackshaw Lane from 3.30pm tomorrow.
