Health fair

ROYTON and Crompton Family Practice is running a health fair, including advice on alcohol dependency, quitting smoking, minor ailments and diabetes awareness.



The event will be at Royton Health and Wellbeing Centre from 10am-4pm on Thursday, September 29.



BEAL Vale Primary School in Salts Street, Shaw, has applied for planning permission for a front extension to the building.



A MEETING of Royton Home Watch takes place at The Oddies, Union Street, today from 7pm.



VISITORS to St Anne’s Church, Royton, can view the Dachau Crucifix for free on Saturday, September 24 (1-4pm). Dachau, by sculptor Dooley, was created as a memorial to human suffering and was first shown in Oldham in 1968.



BRING donations and buy home-made cakes, jewellery and refreshments at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in Turf Lane from 10am-1pm on Saturday.



BLOOD donors are required for sessions at St Paul’s Parish Centre, Shaw, on Friday, September 23, 1.15-3.30pm and 5.15-7.30pm.



A MACMILLAN coffee morning takes place tomorrow (10am-4pm) at Hopwood Court, High Crompton. It will feature a tombola, bric-a-brac and jewellery stalls. Admission is £2.



PLANNING permission is sought by Nando’s Chickenland Ltd for lit and unlit advertising boards at Elk Mill, Royton.
