Jessy celebrates her 103rd birthday with friends at the Link Centre
THERE were smiles all round as the oldest member of a council scheme to support vulnerable Oldhamers celebrated her 103rd birthday.
Jessie Robinson, who lives in Royton, was surrounded by friends and family at the Link Centre in Union Street for a special party.
She is the oldest user of the Friends and Neighbours group, which has volunteers visiting members of the scheme who find it difficult to get out of their home. Members are encouraged to take up hobbies and live as independently as possible.
Around 40 people were there to help Jessie celebrate
