A PUBWATCH meeting takes place at The Weavers Answer in Shaw from 10-11am on Wednesday, October 31.
GUEST speaker Freda Millet will give the illustrated talk “Scattered Homes” at the next meeting of Crompton Historical Society. It takes place at Crompton Library, Shaw, at 7.30 tonight. Admission is £1 with refreshments.
BLOOD donors should head to Trinity Methodist Church in Royton on Friday, November 2. Sessions take place from 1.15 to 3.30pm and 5.15 to 7.30pm.
ST PAUL’S in Royton is holding its Christmas fair from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, November 17. Admission is free to the event at the Church Street Parish Centre, where there will be stalls including home preserves, crafts, plants and a tombola. Proceeds to the church restoration and development fund.
GET dressed up and do the time warp again at Shaw Playhouse 2. “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is being shown from 8pm on Hallowe’en. Tickets are £5 and proceeds will help send Lorna Barry to Ecuador as a volunteer, as part of Camps International.
A FIREWORK display is taking place at the parish centre in Church Street, Royton. Join in the fun from 6pm on Saturday, November 3. Tickets are available in aid of St Paul’s restoration and development fund.
