OLDHAM’S memorable victory over Liverpool in the FA Cup was extra special for Crompton House School as a former pupil helped achieve the win.
The school was delighted to see David Mellor come off the bench to play his part, while another former pupil Chris Sutherland had his first start in their match at Notts County.
PARENTS attending a learning review day at Crompton House School on Tuesday are warned about parking restrictions around the school — and advised that Oldham Council’s parking patrol camera car is expected to be in operation for anyone breaking the rules.
The school has arranged a Stott’s Bus to run a park and ride service from Shaw to reduce congestion with pick up points in Market Street (opposite Iceland) and in Rochdale Road (opposite Hedley Jackson).
Shaw Parish Council’s planning committee, at its meeting on Monday, will give its verdict on plans change the former Vamasaki Restaurant in Grains Bar into supported living accommodation with six bedrooms.
