Election date to fill Phil’s shoes

A QUARTET of candidates will fight for a place on Oldham Council in the Royton South by-election next month.
The election, on March 14, follows the death of Labour Councillor Philip Harrison last December.
The candidates are Stephen Barrow (Liberal Democrat) of Green Park View, Moorside, Marie Bashforth (Labour) of Penthorpe Drive, Royton, Allan Fish (Conservative) of Perth Street, Heyside, and Roger Pakeman (Green) of Mollis Grove, Moorside.
