ROYTON, Shaw and Crompton District Partnership takes place at Holy Trinity Church, Shaw, from 6pm on Tuesday, March 26.


NEW cadets are being recruited by Royton ATC for its 2013 intake. Anyone interested in joining must be aged between 13 and 16-years-old. Parade nights are Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7.30 until 9.30pm at the base in Hillside Avenue in Royton.

ROYTON Townswomens Guild meets upstairs at Royton Town Hall from 7.30pm on Tuesday, April 9. Ann Metcalfe will be the speaker on the theme “Places to go in a Day”.

A SPRING concert takes place on Tuesday, March 26 at Crompton House School. The Junior Band, Senior Wind Band, Brass Ensemble and School Orchestra will all be playing in the school hall from 7pm.

ROYTON Local History Society’s next talk is about Dunham Massey Hall in Cheshire and anecdotes about it, including a Victorian romance, a royal connection and a scandal. It takes place from 7.30pm on Monday, April 8, at Downey House.

THE RSPCA mobile clinic is coming to Tandle Hill Park, Royton, on Wednesday, March 27, between 8.30am and 1.30pm. It will be offering low-cost veterinary treatment, vaccinations and microchipping.

CITIZENS’ Advice sessions on everything from money to legal problems are running at Royton Library on Wednesday, March 27. From 9.30am until 12.30pm, advisers will be on hand to give independent and free advice.

PLACES are now available for Royton 3rd cubs pack. The group meets between 6.45 and 8.15pm on Tuesday, March 26, at the scout hut behind the shops next to the White Hart pub.
