SHAW and Crompton’s committee of Macmillan Cancer Support is raising cash with a Lancashire Night.
It takes place at St Andrew’s Church, Trent Road in High Crompton, from 7.30pm on Friday, June 14. Admission is £5 which includes a potato pie supper. Tickets available on 01706 846955.
BEAL Vale Primary School is holding a summer fair from 11am-1.30pm on Saturday. Entertainment will include Commando Joe’s inflatable assault course, badge making and various stalls. Admission is £1 adults and 50p children, with all proceeds going to the school’s PTA.
ROYTON Local History Society is hosting a talk about the Lancashire Witches on Monday. Speaker John Doughty will talk about the trials of 19 witches at the Midsummer Assizes in Lancaster. The group meets from 7.30pm at Downey House.
NEED help to get online? Then head down to Royton Library for some free, friendly advice on getting started with computers. Sessions take place from 2 until 4pm on Tuesday.
A CREATIVE crafts fair is taking place at Holy Trinity Church parish hall in Shaw, from 9am-2pm on Saturday.
LEARN the art of creating a beautiful hanging basket, thanks to Daisy Nook Garden Centre’s Paul Tyler. The expert will be on hand to advise Royton Townswomen’s Guild at their open event, from 7.30pm on Tuesday at Royton Town Hall. Admission of £5 goes to the Macular Society, the guild’s charity for the year.
SHARE songs and rhymes at fun activities for the under 5s. Sessions take place at Crompton Library from 9.45-10.45am, tomorrow.
