House burgled

ROYTON police have warned homeowners to be vigilant after a burglar stole from a house in Delta Close overnight on Monday.
The thief then stole items from two unlocked vehicles parked on the drive.
FREE bowling tuition for youngsters is running every weekday until August 30 at Dunwood Park. Flat shoes are needed to play on the green from 9.15am to noon. No booking needed.

A MAN was threatened at knifepoint at 4.30pm on Monday outside the Waggon and Horses pub, in Rochdale Road, High Crompton, as he dozed in his car. The robber, aged about 20, took the victim’s phone and cash. He was wearing a white mask, with a black hoody and blue jeans.
BRING and buy and drink a cuppa at Salvation Army in Shaw. The event starts at 10.30am on Saturday and is in aid of church funds.
THE Cricketers Arms in Shaw raised £716 at its race night, in aid of the North West Air Ambulance.
GET together with other new parents and enjoy bounce and rhyme time at Royton Library. The song session takes place from 2pm on Monday.
