LEARN all about the fascinating history of Oldham Coliseum with an illustrated talk by David Rustidge at Royton Local History Society tonight at 7.30.


The talk takes place at Downey House, Church Street and is free for society members and £1.50 for visitors.


SPEAK to your local police officers about concerns and local policing issues at a community meeting at Oddfellows Social Club, Union Street, Royton, on Thursday, 7-8pm.

TEENS looking to keep fit over the half-term holidays can visit Royton Glogym on Tuesday and Thursday for special sessions. A BURGLARY took place on Turf Lane, Royton, last Monday morning. The offender took a necklace, watch and digital camera. Anyone with information should call police on 101.


ANYONE needing help or advice with job hunting should visit the Royton Work Club on Thursdays, between noon and 2pm. The sessions, at Royton Youth Centre, are aimed particularly at 16 to 24-year-olds although everyone is welcome to attend.
