Half-term action

ACTIVE youngsters can take part in a half-term multi-sports camp at Oldham Academy North between Monday, October 28 and Friday, November 1.
Children aged eight to 16 can take part in various activities from £3 a day or £10 for the whole week, with a Halloween event on Thursday, October 31. Children should bring suitable clothing, footwear, a packed lunch and drinks to the Broadway-based school.
A JUMBLE sale is taking place at Heyside United Reform Church, Hebron Street, from 7pm on Thursday. Admission is 20p with money going to church funds.
THE Royton and Shaw Pub and Club Watch meeting will take place at Royton’s Oddfellows Club, Union Street, on Wednesday, October 30 between 10 and 11am.
AN Oldham Coliseum drama workshop for children will take place on Tuesday, October 29 at Royton Library. “My Friend Nigel”, one of the books shortlisted for the 2013 Oldham Children’s Book Awards will be performed by the Young Rep theatre company between 2 and 3pm.

HELP do something amazing and give blood at Royton Trinity Methodist Church on Friday. Sessions take place between 1.15 and 3.30pm and from 5.15 to 7.30pm .
